From December 29 to 30, 2019, the 2019 Annual Conference on National and Regional Studies of Chinese Universities was held at Songjiang campus of Shanghai International Studies University. This is the first national academic annual meeting since the Ministry of Education launched the National and Regional Studies Initiative in 2011. More than 400 experts and scholars of national and regional research centers from 158 universities and colleges across the country attended the meeting.

      Major themes of this conference includes: advisory services for national and regional studies in universities, discipline development of national and regional studies, hot issues of national and regional studies and training of national and regional studiestalents .  

      On behalf of the CAUS, assistant researcher Pan Liang attended this conference and  exchanged ideas with the experts and scholars on hot issues related to regional and country studies.
